IW Police in Teddy search

The IW Police are asking for donations of knitted Teddy bears which can be distributed to children involved with domestic abuse.

A spokesman said: “Last week, we had a lovely donation of Teddy bears from a member of the public after an appeal to the community for knitters to help.

“The bears are very appreciated, especially by the children that they are provided to when we attend domestic abuse cases. All donations of these bears are deeply appreciated by the constabulary and we kindly ask if the community would still like to make more of these; they would be well received.”

Knitting instructions can be found at bit.ly/3MLKpAE and how to crochet the bears at bit.ly/3t4OIPO. The finished toys can be dropped off at any police station.
