The all-weather surface at Smallbrook saw IW Ladies 1st XI come back from behind, to secure a 2-2 home draw against Andover in a mid-table Division One South clash. The youth of Evie Fairhurst, Mia Lawrence, and the green-carded Polly Rider, alongside the experience of Katy Ednay, secured a much-deserved point after conceding an early goal and absorbing first-half pressure.
IW Men’s 1st XI continued a fine run of form, with a 6-2 home win over Gosport Borough in South Central Division Two South. Adam Payne’s trio of penalty corners was the highlight of a match that also saw Antonio Ferreira and Joseph Arnold hitting the net, to remain top of the division.
Megan Bridger’s hat-trick inspired the Women’s 2nd XI to a 6-2 away win at Winchester, with Evie Longson adding a first-half field goal, narrowing the gap to Winchester to 2 points in Division Two Solent.
Mike Dodds scored IW Men’s 2nd XI’s consolation goal in their South Central Division Six 5-1 away defeat at Alton.
