Island dancers heading to Spain for Dance World Cup

Anya Murphy, Kenzie Madden and Jess Burfitt

Three talented young dancers from the Isle of Wight are part of Team England at the 2025 Dance World Cup Finals in Burgos, Spain.

Anya Murphy and Kenzie Madden, both aged 11 and from Seaview, will perform a Ukrainian global dance duet in the 10–13 age category. They are students at the Hilary Hall School of Dance.

Also making the trip is Shanklin dancer, Jess Burfitt, 13, who returns to the international stage after competing in Prague last year. Jess, who trains at MLD Studio in Ryde, will perform a commercial solo. She has earned multiple awards at national and regional competitions.

All three dancers thanked their families, friends and sponsors. The competition runs from July 3 to 12 and features more than 120,000 dancers from over 70 countries, making it one of the largest youth dance events in the world.
