‘Insane’ levels of competition

Nick Percy

Islander, Nick Percy, finished 33rd in discus at the World Championships in Japan, following a head injury received at the training camp in the lead up to the competition.

In an interview with Scottish Athletics, Nick said: “My performance still should have been better. Ralford Mullings is one of the best guys in the world this year and he came behind me.

“The standard at the top is just insane. Sixty-five metres gets you sixth; that’s insane for this competition. It’s an amazing championships to be a part of but there are reflections and adjustments needed for next year.”
