Hovertravel reverted to a booked service this week and selfless customers have been calling to give up their bookings for key workers.
Loretta Lale, Head of Commercial at Hovertravel explains:, “The Hovertravel community has really stepped up in the last week with season and travel card customers getting in touch to offer their booked flights to key workers.
Some are telling us they can work from home or that they are reducing their commuting and wanted to be able to help out by giving up their booked seat to someone who needs to travel.”
To these customers, all of the key workers travelling, and us at Hovertravel, say thank you.”
Hovertravel is monitoring passenger volumes and is publishing a weekly update to indicate availability for the following week, allowing customers to avoid peak travel times.
