Hovertravel adds extra fun for children this half-term

Hovertravel is offering free colouring sheets and crayons for children travelling this half-term.

Loretta Lale, head of commercial at Hovertravel, adds: “Children love to colour and this activity has been found to have a variety of developmental benefits such as hand-eye co-ordination, fine motor skills, colour recognition as well as being an outlet for creative expression. We created a simple line drawing of our hovercraft flying across the Solent, giving plenty of scope for artistic colouring. We may even feature some examples on our social networks if proud parents are happy to photograph and send them to us.”

Hovertravel flies from Southsea to Ryde in less than ten minutes and passengers are asked to be at the terminal ten minutes prior to departure. “However,” as Loretta explains, “we wanted our younger customers to take these sheets and colour when they get time, hopefully keeping their artwork as a free memento of their exciting flight on a hovercraft.”

The colouring sheets and crayons are available free in both Ryde and Southsea terminals from today.
