‘Hopefully to Seaview’ walk

By IW Observer.co.uk Feb 26, 2022

The annual Isle of Wight walk, supporting Retina UK, is returning on June 12 this year.

Walkers will set off from the Alamo in Ryde, follow the coastal path to Seaview, and then return to Ryde.

The event raises money to help restore vision to those who have lost or are losing their eyesight through inherited sight loss and to help with crucial research.

The last three similar events have raised over £27,000, thanks to the many supporters and helpers. Despite Covid restrictions last year, more than £5,250 was raised, including a £1,000 donation from Sandown Rotary Club.

Dan and Sam from the Alamo restaurant will provide those taking part with food and entertainment, and there will be a bumper raffle thanks to generous local businesses.

To register for Hopefully to Seaview visit bit.ly/3GNSctz. Registration fee is £10 which includes a Retina UK T-shirt and a medal. There is no set fund-raising amount; just raise what you can.
