A retired teacher has just published her third book in the ‘Groovy Grandad’ series.
Groovy Grandad Works His Magic follows on from the success of Groovy Grandad and Groovy Grandad Comes to the Rescue.
The books have been written by Margaret Young, of Winford, and are set in Josselin in Brittany where she has a second home. They feature Archie, a young boy who is bullied at school for being mixed race, and holidays with his grandad during the summer.
Margaret said: “The third book discovers what happens when Archie, Pascal and Sophia delve into the past and bring one of Claudine’s tales to life discovering the story of Pierre’s life during the Second World War.
“Grandad and Maurice uncover Pierre’s whereabouts, but little did they know that what they had discovered would be something special; something very special with the aid of some Grandad Magic.”
The book is available online and in book stores including Waterstones and Morgans, Shanklin.
