Hurst’s price promotions have been helping those struggling with the cost of living crisis.
Since August the popular Island store, which has six branches across the Island, has been running monthly promotions, reducing the price of much-needed non-food essential items. They have also been offering customers the option of donating the specially-priced items to the Isle of Wight Foodbank. Over the last three months, they have donated 390 tin openers, 141 dish brushes and 78 bottles of washing-up liquid, enabling the foodbank to pass them on to those who need a little extra help.
Hurst’s have donation drop-off points in their Newport and Ryde branches, and would encourage Islanders to use them to donate non-food essential items.
