Freshwater Horticultural Society held its spring show at the Parish Hall, Victoria Road, on Saturday.
The weather was perfect which allowed exhibitors the opportunity to prepare their exhibits outside in the morning, and visitors were also able to sit in the afternoon sunshine to enjoy some refreshments.
The hall was filled with high quality exhibits and the judges were very impressed by the standard put before them. In the daffodil classes, the competition was tight with several exhibitors displaying impressive blooms. The floral art was at such a high standard that the judge awarded not one, but two, gold awards.
There were 34 exhibitors and, between them, they put up 193 exhibits.
The society’s event is a plant sale on May 9 at the Parish Hall, 10am-noon.
