Four more Covid-19 deaths at St Mary’s 

Four more people being cared for at St Mary’s Hospital, have died, having tested positive for coronavirus. It brings the total number of coronavirus-related deaths at the hospital to 19. 

Alistair Flowerdew, Medical Director at Isle of Wight NHS Trust, said: “Sadly, we can confirm that a further four people being cared for at St Mary’s Hospital who had tested positive for coronavirus have died.

“The two men and two women were aged between 71 and 91 and all had underlying health conditions. Their families have been informed and our thoughts and deepest condolences are with them all at this difficult and distressing time.”

Two more patients have also been confirmed as having coronavirus at the hospital, taking the overall total to 76.
