An evening of local music in support of local people in crisis will star The Rug Band, Two Big Violins, Second Time Around and Chasing Scarlett.
The event, to be held at Quay Arts Centre in Newport on October 13, will be raising funds for the Isle of Wight Foodbank in the run-up to Christmas, their busiest period.
The foodbank’s new project manager, Kay Lewis, said: “I am excited to attend my first Music Madness event and look forward to hearing the bands as well as meeting lots of new faces. I’m overwhelmed by the generosity of Quay Arts, the bands and all who support the event.
“We are all facing challenging economic times and as a charity, fund-raising is a necessary part of who we are if we are to continue. Our Music Madness evening will provide an evening of entertainment in a beautiful venue whilst raising necessary funds to continue supporting local people in crisis.”
In the last six months the IW Foodbank has supported more than 2,600 people.
Tickets for the evening are £8 and can be ordered from quayarts.org/event/music-madness-iow-foodbank.
Doors open at 19:00 for a 19:30 start.
