First IW vintage motorcycle show

The first of three display shows for the Isle of Wight Vintage and Classic Motorcycle Show this year will be held at Ventnor Winter Gardens on Saturday, April 9.

Organised by the Isle of Wight section of the Vintage Motorcycle Club, it is open to anyone who wishes to display a machine, providing it is more than twenty-five years old.

There will be a chance to get up close to bikes from the early 1900s, and follow the development of two-wheeled transport through to the modern technology we see around us today.

There is no entry fee for those wishing to exhibit a motorcycle. For those wishing to view the old bikes, there is an entry fee of ÂŁ3 per person.

To exhibit a bike you should aim to arrive between 8am and 9:30am, with doors open from 10am to 4pm.

The event will also be raising funds for the Island’s section of the club’s charity of the year, Young Lives vs Cancer.
