Little Stars preschool, in Freshwater, has entered a new era with the unveiling of its newly-refurbished building.
The Federation of the Church Schools of Shalfleet and Freshwater & Yarmouth has worked closely with the Freshwater Early Years team over the past year to bring the preschool into its Federation family. The transition, under the Little Stars banner, was formally completed on October 20.
During the October half term, staff upgraded the premises and prepared for the move. On November 3, the doors opened to children and families, offering a refreshed and enhanced early years setting.
Little Stars, in Freshwater, now joins Little Explorers, in Shalfleet, as part of the Federation’s preschool provision. Both work in close partnership with their schools, sharing facilities, resources and a dedicated team committed to nurturing every child.
The Freshwater site, just a short walk from the town centre, offers families an Ofsted-rated preschool and primary school in one location. Its position allows children to benefit from local amenities and explore the surrounding environment as part of their learning and play.
The Federation said the development marks an exciting step forward in providing high-quality early years education for Island families.
