The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary is asking Islanders to vote to get them through to the national finals of the Muddy Stilettos awards.
Muddy Stilettos is a lifestyle website, started in 2011 by Hero Brown, a journalist who moved from London to the Buckinghamshire countryside, and didn’t know her way around. She started the website to give other city-dwelling women tips on things to do, see and experience when they venture out of the city.
Two Island attractions have made it through to the top five in the regional finals in the Best Family Attractions category, and the popular Wroxall-based home for abused and unwanted donkeys is now “all hands on deck” to get enough votes to get them through to the finals. Although their donkeys are usually pictured all pristine and clean, they quite like the idea of winning a ‘Muddy’ award.
Voting is open until midnight on June 4, and everybody entering can also enter a prize draw to win a £1,200 de-luxe break in the Lake District, so it may not be just the donkeys that benefit.
If you’d like to help the IW Donkey Sanctuary get through to the final stage of the awards, vote here: https://hants.muddystilettos.co.uk/vote/?c=30735
You’ll need to give your email address and verify your vote – otherwise it won’t count!
