Hants & IW Fire & Rescue service is recruiting whole-time firefighters this week.
For a 72-hour period, from 00.01am on Monday, the service will open its application window for anyone who wants to join.
A spokesman said: “We’re looking for people who can combine a passion to protect and help our communities, with the drive to learn and use lifesaving skills.
“One day you’ll be responding to 999 calls and the next you’ll be helping people to understand how to keep themselves – and their loved ones – safe.
“You don’t need any prior firefighting experience to join us as full training is provided. Having a workforce of different backgrounds, experiences, life skills and approaches, helps us to deliver a better service and make our community even safer.”
Ben Allen, people and operation development manager, added: “Firefighting is more than just a career, it’s about teamwork, problem-solving, and protecting what matters most. Whether you’re responding to emergencies, educating the public, or supporting your team, every day is meaningful and rewarding.
“Are you ready to face challenges head-on and make a real difference in your community? Do you have the courage, compassion, and determination to save lives and inspire others?
“We’re looking for people who are ready to bring their strength, resilience, and leadership to the role. If you thrive under pressure and want a career that’s as rewarding as it is exciting, we want to hear from you!”
