Deadpool Rob and his friends joined Breast Cancer Now fund-raiser, Sarah Tyrell-Jones, in two charity walks in Ryde and Sandown, before taking on their big summer fund-raiser next month.
Sarah explained: “We always try and do a couple of walks in the lead-up to the big day, handing out awareness leaflets along the way.
“The first one was on Thursday, from Ryde Bus Station to Appley Beach, and then on Sunday, along Pier Street, in Sandown.
“We raised a total of £164.20 from both events which was a bonus. Everyone loves to see us all dressed up and we have such a lot of fun.
“It’s important to raise awareness – it was only through me picking up and reading a leaflet that I went for a check-up and was diagnosed with breast cancer.”
The main summer Fun Day event takes place on August 2 at Eastern Gardens, Ryde, from 10am.
