An East Cowes dance academy has been made dance school of the year for the South of England at a top awards ceremony.
Zoe Langridge, principal of the Creationz Dance Academy, collected the prestige award at a presentation evening in Southampton, and admitted: “We didn’t even know we had been nominated!”
Zoe has been running the academy since 2023, and explained: “Just before Christmas I had a call telling me we had been nominated and I was asked if we could attend the event.
“Someone, somewhere, believed in us quietly enough to put our name forward – and that kind of energy speaks volumes. Your kindness has come full circle.”
Zoe attended with mum, Becky, and added: “We got to mingle with other businesses and had a formal interview as well as our photos taken professionally, so it was a lovely evening.”
The academy currently has 40 youngsters, and its next show will be held at Quay Arts, Newport, later in the year, when dancers between from 18 months to adults will be participating.
Zoe added: “This award is a celebration of every dancer, parent, and supporter, who has helped us grow.
“We are excited to continue inspiring and empowering our dancers every step of the way.”
