Coastguard Awards Ceremony recognises important work

Bembridge Sailing Club hosted the Coastguard Awards Ceremony on Monday, recognising the crucial work the coastguard does in protecting not only us, but our coast and environment. In attendance was Andrew Woodford, senior co-operations officer of HM Coastguard.

Awards were presented by IW High Sheriff, Graham Biss, followed by a drinks reception, enjoyed by all.

A Longstanding Service Award, bestowed for 20 years of service, was presented to Stephen Vidler. Six King’s Coronation Medals were awarded to Stephen Vidler, Jeff Anderson, Steve Wilson, Steven Biggs, Rodney Parker, and Andrew Hunt.
