Christmas fair raises £3,000 for Dimbola

The Art & Craft Christmas Fair has raised a record £3,000 for the Julia Margaret Cameron Trust, which runs Dimbola Museum & Galleries. The total exceeds last year’s figure by more than £500, and includes stall-holder fees, raffle ticket sales, and front desk profits from both days.

The event enjoyed strong community support, with more than 1,000 raffle tickets sold and 56 prizes donated. The tea-room was also busy, with visitors enjoying festive treats throughout the weekend.

Dimbola receives no regular funding from central or local government, and winter visitor numbers are lower, making fund-raising events, such as the Christmas fair, vital. The money raised will help meet the high running costs of the museum.
