Members of the Newchurch Male Voice Choir recently presented a cheque for £1,400 to Vickki Owen, clinical lead, and Jeannine Johnson, consultant stroke nurse for the Stroke Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital.
The sum was raised from audiences at the choir’s concerts throughout 2023.
Bob Cooper, speaking on behalf of the choir, said: “The men love singing and bringing pleasure to Island audiences at our concerts. This presentation gives us the pleasure of knowing that the wonderful work of the Stroke Unit staff will be made a little easier with this addition to their funds.”
