Cherry Godfrey recently hosted its annual reception, bringing together staff from its Isle of Wight, Guernsey, and Southampton offices. The event provided a valuable opportunity for team members to connect with partners they work with on the Island.
The financial services firm – specialising in loans, mortgages, and insurance for both private and commercial clients – has continued to thrive in recent years, and, under the leadership of Director Andrew Tapsell, the company is now expanding its support to clients across the UK from its Newport High Street office.
This year’s reception was held at the newly-opened Heron Restaurant, at Robin Hill, where the talented culinary team showcased a selection of their delicious and distinctive dishes.
The company’s CEO, David Cherry, explained: “We’ve been part of the Isle of Wight community for over four years now, and I couldn’t be prouder of what Andrew and our team here have achieved. The Island has an amazing pool of talent – people who are dedicated, skilled, and bring real heart to everything they do. Our team on the Isle of Wight continues to impress me every day; and they have played a huge role in our continued growth.
“What’s particularly special is how that local talent has helped us grow beyond the Island – supporting our expanding work across the mainland and other islands, and helping us deliver the same personal, trusted service wherever our clients are based. The support we’ve had from local people and businesses has been incredible. The Isle of Wight offers a wonderful community and a fantastic foundation for a thriving business as we continue to grow and evolve both on the Island and beyond.”
