Charity supper club in Cowes raises £4,500 for Isle of Wight Youth Trust

Local businessmen Paul Thorley (‘Mr Yummy’) and Mark Henry have raised £4,500 for the Isle of Wight Youth Trust, following their charity supper club at the Sir Max Aitken Museum, in Cowes.

This special Chinese New Year celebration featured themed décor and a five‑course Chinese‑inspired menu created and executed by Paul. Mark hosted the evening with his trademark warmth and energy, creating an unforgettable atmosphere, while Nancy Thorley curated the room and dining table.

A raffle added to the excitement, helping boost the fund-raising total.

Paul said: “Fund-raising in 2026 is tougher than ever, which is why our charity supper clubs matter so much. These evenings bring people and charities together over good food, good conversation, and real generosity. Thanks to our guests, sponsors, and incredible volunteers, we’ve now raised over £30,000 for Isle of Wight charities – and we’re excited to keep building on that at our next event.”

Funds raised from the event will help the Youth Trust continue providing free mental health and well-being support to children and young people across the Island.

The next charity supper club will take place on Friday, June 12, at the Bear Look Out, Wildheart Sanctuary, Sandown.
