Care in the Garden is open for business

Despite Park Road, outside their popular Palmer’s Brook Nursery, being closed until April 18, Care in the Garden are still fully open for business and welcoming customers old and new.

Care in the Garden is a Community Interest Company which provides work and job opportunities to adults with additional needs, focussing on a person’s ability, not their disability. They grow and sell a wide range of plants, make quality wood products, sell seasonal fresh fruit and veg, refurbish and sell old tools, and much more. And if you need a reviving cup of tea and a cake after all that shopping, you can pop into Grampy’s Tea Shed.

The valuable work they do is funded by what they grow, make and sell at their nursery and through their website.

Every pound you spend helps to provide meaningful work opportunities for Islanders with additional needs.

Now that our gardens are starting to burst into life, why not pop along and browse their great-value plants and other gardening produce and paraphenalia.

Opening hours are Monday-Saturday, 9am-5pm, and Sunday, 10am-4pm. For more information, visit their website, careinthegarden.com.
