Buffed to brilliance – clean up for a cause

The Mindset Bros gang

Mindset Bros CIC has hailed the success of their 24-hour charity car valeting fund-raiser, held at The Yarbridge Inn, in Brading, last Friday from 4pm through to Saturday evening. The event raised an impressive £5,150 to support men’s mental health initiatives across the Isle of Wight.

Cars rolled in continuously, with every 30-minute slot booked by locals eager to back the cause. Alongside the valeting, attendees enjoyed live music, merchandise stalls, and a shared commitment to breaking the stigma around men’s mental health.

The event was powered by the tireless efforts of Rich Fox, Ben Vineer, and Charlie Harris, whose dedication – and stamina – kept the marathon running smoothly. Their work was bolstered by Harris Detailing and BRV Detailing, while The Yarbridge Inn provided the venue and live music. Dodo Juice also played a key role, supplying products that kept standards high throughout the night.

Ross Taylor, founder of Mindset Bros, said: “We are humbled by the turnout and generosity shown by the community. £5,150 is an incredible amount to raise in just 24 hours, and it will go directly towards initiatives that make a difference for men struggling in silence.”

Mindset Bros champions open conversations, support networks, and community-led action to improve men’s mental health – all monies raised goes directly to fund future campaigns and outreach across the Island. There are no employees or administration costs.

The next monthly meeting for Mindset Bros will be held at The Yarbridge Inn, on Thursday, October 16 at 7pm-9pm. The meet ups are designed to be a safe space for men to speak freely and get support, no matter what the issue is.
