Brighstone’s Knit and Natter Group at it again

By Chris Cornford Feb 16, 2021

Love is in the air for the Brighstone Knit and Natter Group who have been brightening up their village again with a timely reminder for St Valentine’s Day on Sunday.

The five ladies – Liz Brammall, Norma Bradley, Nessa Mitchell, Margaret Rainer and Carol Matthews – have made a new topper for the village post box which includes a bunch of roses, a single rose and some love hearts.

The ladies usually meet at the new café (which was formerly the village newsagents) but are now having regular Zoom meetings.
Over the last year, they have made a topper to support the NHS which had a nurse and a postman on top of the post box. Then there was another topper to commemorate Remembrance Sunday and one in December to wish everyone a merry Christmas.

A few weeks ago, they made a teapot with ‘Keep calm and drink tea’ slogan as well as a 2021-Hope message in the artwork.
