Brighstone spring show draws 60 entrants and 270 exhibits

Nearly 60 entrants exhibiting 270 entries in the Brighstone Horticultural Society spring show, with Dawn Robinson winning the Chelsea Bown for Best in Show, at the Wilberforce Hall & Scout Hut, on Sunday. Dawn’s success included the Handicraft Cup for a mosaic house sign.

Organisers thanked the volunteers who worked so hard to make the show such a success.

The Society’s popular plant sale takes place on Saturday, April 18, between 10am-noon in the village Scout Hut.

There will be a wide variety of plants on sale. If anyone would like to donate plants or gardenalia (no books) for the charity stall, please leave outside the Scout Hut before 9.45am on the day. Proceeds to Brighstone Youth FC.
