Breast Cancer Now community fund-raiser, Sarah Tyrrell-Jones, has drafted in some extra help in her job – her eight-year-old son.
Sarah explained: “Marshall has autism and selective speech and hates having his hair touched, brushed or washed, but we manage.

“He has had only three haircuts in eight years, but he’s also a keen fund-raiser and decided to get it chopped off for my charity.
“It was a massive step for Marshall; I know he was scared, but his determination was fantastic. We’re so, so proud of him.”
Marshall, who attends Broadlea Primary School, Lake, had his hair cut by Julie Wallis from Wallis 25, Sandown.
With a JustGiving page set up by his mum, he has raised £725; however, it’s proved an expensive fund-raiser for his parents, with Sarah adding: “We said we would match it, so it’s cost us a fair bit!”
Since Sarah joined the charity, she has helped raise nearly £50,000, including participating in a series of fund-raisers herself, including the London Marathon.
She said: “We’re less than £3,000 short, so, hopefully, we will reach that target during the summer!”
