Body of missing Islander found

1 min read

The body of a missing Islander has been found with the family saying they are devastated.

Ian McLoughlin launched a social media appeal yesterday (Thursday) to find his brother, Keith, who was last seen on CCTV leaving his home on foot on Downend Road, Arreton, at 11.30pm on Wednesday night.

Ian had said: “It is unknown where he has gone since then, but he has left his property unlocked, and his car, keys, wallet, and mobile phone have all been left behind.
“We and the police are very concerned for Keith’s welfare, given his state of mind when he left last night.”
The Police and WightSAR volunteers carried out a search of the area throughout the morning.

However, at 2.15pm yesterday afternoon, Ian updated his message to say: “I regret to inform you that our brother Keith has devastatingly been found passed this afternoon. Thank you for your endeavours to find him.”
