Aspire, Ryde, has paid tribute to its friend and team member, Ady Hodgkinson, who has passed away.
A spokesman said: “Ady was loved by all of us at Aspire and by so many of our friends and visitors. Always friendly and welcoming, he ran our café and softplay with a big smile and a kind word for everyone.
“When he was unable to continue working with us, he was presented with the High Sheriff’s Award for his service to the community.
“Although he struggled with ill health, he always encouraged us and the strong faith that he found sustained him. Every day at our briefing he would tell us: ‘God loves you all very much, and so do I.’ And he meant it.
“Rest in peace and rise in glory our wonderful friend.”
