Are you looking forward to Chale Show this weekend?

Islanders, visitors and traders are looking forward to a fantastic 96th Chale Show this weekend (August 3 & 4).

Ticket prices are great value again this year, with the average family paying only £28 for entry – and you get loads for your money. The main arena is as big as ever, with some new acts being welcomed for the first time, including Paul Hannam – ATV Stunt Show, a Head -to-Head Quad Racing Demo, and the fabulous Dog and Duck Show, as well as all your old favourites.

The Mountbatten Sunflower Music stage, featuring local music talent, will sound bigger and better than ever in a new location.

The new Village Green area brings together the Somewhen Storytelling tent with the activity-packed Kids’ Zone and great new Snoot Box Fun Dog Show.

The horticultural marquee is the show’s centrepiece. With over 1,500 entries, it has over 200 classes catering for all abilities. This year special classes will support Mountbatten and celebrate the 200th anniversary of the RNLI.

The show has raised thousands of pounds over the years for Island charities and good causes, and its volunteer organisers thank everyone for their amazing support and continued love for the show. Despite terrible weather last year, meaning the show could only open for one day, donations of more £6,000 were made.

Day Tickets are £15 on the gate (card/cash) with tickets available on-line until Sunday at £14 via iw.observer/chale-show. Children under 16 go free and there is free parking.
