Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of criminal damage in Ryde last week.
It was reported that between 4pm and 4.30pm a 34-year-old woman has attended Rocket Ronnie’s, on the Esplanade in Ryde, and made threats towards a female member of the public.
She has then allegedly gone on to exit Rocket Ronnie’s and caused damage to a vehicle. Police believe this was witnessed by two men outside the premises.
It was subsequently reported that during this incident the same woman has attended The Veteran on the Esplanade in Ryde where she has reportedly argued with a member of the public and picked up and smashed a glass outside of the venue.
As part of the investigation into the circumstances of this incident, a 34-year-old woman from Ventnor has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property valued under £500 and assaulting a constable in the execution of his/her duty. She has been bailed with conditions until Wednesday, February 18 whilst enquiries continue.
Police would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened, including the two men they believe witnessed the woman damaging a vehicle outside of Rocket Ronnie’s.
