Trinity Theatre, Cowes, is set to welcome back BBC Radio 4’s comedy star, Alfie Moore, for a special performance of his new show, ‘A Face for Radio’. Scheduled for November 17 at 7.30 pm, the event promises an evening filled with laughter and insight from one of the UK’s most loved comedians. Alfie’s return to Cowes follows a sold-out show in 2023, and demand is expected to be high.
Dinah Bowman, President of the Cowes Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society, expressed excitement about Moore’s return. She said: “With his insight into policing, society, and the issues facing us all, he is a genuine ‘National Treasure’. We are delighted that Alfie has agreed to come back to Trinity with his new show from his tour.”
‘A Face for Radio’ is infused with Alfie’s unique blend of humour and story-telling, honed from his years in the Sheffield steelworks and as a Humberside police officer. His tour offers a glimpse into his life’s parallel paths, resulting in a comedic style that You Magazine describes as “offbeat, revealing and very funny,” while Mature Times commends his “thoroughly engaging, endlessly funny” performances.
