Jenny Shepherd (12) and Amberley Robert (12) with leaders Madeleine Bevan, Mark Biddlecombe, Paul Biddlecombe, Alex Dyke, and Elisha Robert.
Award-winning Shanklin Voluntary Youth & Community Centre (SVYCC), re-opened after the summer break with more than 150 members enjoying the evening, with special guest, and member from the 1970s, BBC Radio and TV presenter, Alex Dyke.
SVYCC, or TC’s as it’s known by members since the 1990s, has spent the summer updating its games room, disco, coffee-bar and main hall as well as increasing mid-week table tennis activities.
Voluntary leader, Mark Biddlecombe, said: “Thanks again to our dedicated team of volunteers we have been able to increase the range of activities we can provide, and the numbers attending on our first night back shows how much local young people value what’s on offer.”
TC’s returns on October 20 and then November 17 with further details available at iow.life/tcsyouthclub.
