A delicious spread of sandwiches, home-made cakes and scones and cream were made even more enjoyable by wartime songs, performed by Simon Wheeler, who got the guests singing along and waving Union Jacks in time to the music.
Licensee, Julie Layton, said she had loved every minute of having the pensioners in to celebrate this special occasion.
