A Christmas treat for St. Mary’s children from Man v Fat

Man v Fat (MvF) Football IW have been working hard over this festive season to bring children at our local hospital something sweet.

The football clubs from Cowes and Sandown have worked together with friends and families to donate chocolate selection boxes to the Paediatric Emergency Department at St. Mary’s, to create a more enjoyable experience for the Island’s young people when visiting the hospital over this festive season.

The MvF organisation promotes the health and well-being of Island men of all ages. Unlike other weight loss organisations, MvF centres itself around the ‘beautiful game’!

To encourage healthy choices, players aim to gain bonus goals for their teams with their weekly weight loss.

These goals are combined with the score from a weekly match to reveal the overall result that affects the league.

Since starting on the Island, MvF has helped Island men to lose more than two tons in weight.

As well as individual contributions from MvF players, donations were also received from local businesses with more than 600 chocolate boxes delivered to St. Mary’s Hospital by MvF members on Thursday morning.
