Wednesday evening (August 7) saw the West Wight Road Runners (WWRR) host a Let’s All Run Together (LART) event. They invited all IW runners to join them for a choice of a 5½-mile run or to cover a shorter 3-mile route.
An impressive 80 people turned up for the event. Isle of Wight clubs represented included: Wootton Bridge Runners, Ryde Harriers, Vectis Acadamy, Wight Tri, IW Road Runners, Dark Star as well as members of the host club, WWRR. At the end everyone was welcomed to enjoy refreshments including home made cakes.
WWRR captain, Gemma Swain, said: “There’s such a big running community here on the Island and it’s really great to all get together for a fun run like this and then socialise afterwards.
“Our special thanks go to the West Wight Sports Centre for allowing us to host the event there.”
