Ticket to Ryde returns to the seafront this weekend, bringing two days of free live music and entertainment to the town.
The popular community event will take place at Eastern Gardens, Ryde Harbour, tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday, coinciding with the annual International Scooter Rally.
Now in its 12th year, the Jack Up Events festival will showcase established Island bands alongside emerging local performers, with a strong 1960s flavour for visiting scooter enthusiasts.
Tomorrow’s music begins with Steve Love’s Island Songs, followed by Pistol Knights and reggae, ska, and 2 Tone specialists, Scooted & Booted. It’s Not a Phase, Mom! will perform later in the afternoon, before Showgirl 2.0 & Olly Williams round off the day.
On Sunday, Emellia opens the programme, followed by another set from Scooted & Booted. Side Hustle and Rehab Ramones complete the weekend’s live music.
Alongside the entertainment, visitors can browse Island stalls and enjoy locally produced food and drink, with children’s activities also available.
This year’s nominated charity is Alzheimer Café Isle of Wight, with the event helping to raise funds and awareness for its work supporting people affected by memory loss or dementia and their families.
Ticket to Ryde is organised by Jack Up Events, in conjunction with Ryde Town Council.
Entry is free, with no advance tickets required. Trade stalls open from 10am, with live entertainment beginning from around 11am each day and continuing into the evening.
