Quarr Abbey is hosting a series of events in the build-up to Christmas, which are all open to the public.
The events include a Christmas Fair, shopping weekend, Art Gallery exhibitions and special Christmas menu.
A spokesman for the Abbey said: “We look forward to welcoming all to enjoy our Christmas events and services during the special and Holy season. Once again, we will be focussing on the spirit of Christmas, here at the Island’s Benedictine monastery.
“As well as the seasonal events, we will continue to be a place of solace, tranquillity and calm for those wishing to relax in the peaceful haven of Quarr Abbey.
“Whether coming to celebrate the Holy calendar, or relax in the Abbey church, all are welcome, now and throughout the new year ahead.”
Among the highlights are the Christmas Fair (over the weekend Friday, December 1-December 3, 10am-4pm; shopping weekend, December 16-17; special Christmas menu including the usual favourites and the abbey’s popular Nativity scene from December 15).
