New homeware store opens on Forest Road

A new homeware store featuring many of the products of Chessell Woodyard, called Chessell Interiors, opens tomorrow (Saturday).

Chessell Interiors, is being run by Emma Pooley whose husband, Sean, owns the woodyard business. The store is on Forest Road, occupying the site of what was Barneys Tyres, and Emma explained: “It’s something we have been thinking about for a few years and it will be somewhere we can also show our woodyard products.

“Now, we will be showing our stocks of logs and kindling, mantles, sleepers, slabs and chopping blocks – all in different types of wood.

“And to complement this, we will also be selling blankets, cushions, candles, vases and many more items to make a home more beautiful. Our aim is to make our products affordable for everyone. I’m really excited about the project.”
