More than 120 adults attended the model railway open day, at Whitwell Village Hall, organised by the Island branch of the N Gauge Society.
Chairman, Richard Hance, from Niton, said: “We were really ‘chuffed’ with the turnout in awful conditions, and it was really good to see so many children attend with their parents.
“We attracted new members on the day, and have already started planning next year’s event, by which time we hope to have permanent premises.”
The day-long exhibition featured group models, a pop-out layout, and layouts in cases, as well as detailed working models of Little Standing and Amberley Wharf. The group can be contacted on 07831 347346 or via iow.life/ngsiow.
