Two Platform One students have recently released their debut singles. Nadia Robertson and Beth Brookfield are in the second year of BTEC and are already showcasing their individual sounds which are making them ones to follow.

Nadia Robertson releases her groovy new tune ‘Why’d You Do This to Yourself,’ a soothing contemporary R&B/Pop track that pulls similar sounds from Jorja Smith and Alicia Keys.
With rich harmonies and soothing melodies, Nadia sings with ease over groovy guitar chords and riffs while the drums keep a lazy pace. A perfect summer evening song.

Beth Brookfield showcases her love for country with her new song ‘The Journey,’ a stripped back guitar ballad that accompanies her rich tone perfectly. Pulling inspiration from artists such as Fleetwood Mac and George Harrison, Beth’s debut embodies their acoustic traits and turns it into something unique.

Both Nadia and Beth have had their songs featured on BBC Radio Solent on the BBC Introducing Playlist and are both now available on streaming services.
