Around 500 bikers attended the On the Edge Rally, a four-day music festival, which raises funds for local charities and where people can ‘let their hair down’.
The Gurt Ballygagger event, at Cheverton Copse, Sandown, was organised by Stan Baker, who has been staging rallies since 1988.
An eclectic range of entertainment, featuring some of the Island’s top entertainers, were on show over the weekend, including Six Feet Under, Blonde Bombshell, SAS, White Hot Pipes, Dirty Little Secret, Burlesque Belles and La Tease.
Military veteran, Stan, said: “Over the years, we have raised around £50,000 for a variety of charities both military and local, depending on who needs money at the time. Most of the people who attend know me as a friend and I send out invites at the beginning of the year.
“It’s about letting your hair down and there are fancy dress options. It’s also about promoting the Island bands and dancing. My wife, Jane, is also with me, helping run the bar among other things.”
