Two water lodges have been installed in Yarmouth Harbour, giving visitors the opportunity to stay for a break in the town.
The lodges each have two double bedrooms and are fully equipped with dishwasher, small oven, freezer and crockery. They will be rented out for about £250-£300 a night, depending on the time of the year.
The harbour’s facilities manager, Vikki Miller, has led the project and said: “We are also the Tourist Information point in the town, and we have lots of people asking for accommodation as there is a lack of it in the area.
“If there is a big family occasion, like a wedding, they can’t book in anywhere because it is already full, so we thought this would be the next best thing.
“They come with everything you would need for a lovely break and also include a sun deck upstairs which includes loungers and a table and chairs – plus a walk-ashore pontoon and fantastic views of the town.”
