'Wizard' bowler Mick Walsh at Shanklin's Hallowe'en Competition

Shanklin Bowls Club hosted a Hallowe’en Fun night indoor bowls competition, with more than 30 participants taking part in the event organised by Carol and Graham Thomas, enjoying a fish and chip supper at the end.

The winning side of Lesley Kemp, Pat Cracknell, Mitch Jones and Sue Thomas were awarded the Hallowe’en Trophy, as well as a ‘Touchers’ challenge, with bowlers guessing how many bowls would touch the jack, won by Mick Walsh.

Carol and Graham said: “Thanks to all of the souls that took part in the ‘spirit’ of the event, with the clubhouse decorated with spooks and spiders which we of course bought on the ‘web’!”

Shanklin Bowling Club has appointed a new club president, John Rich, and would welcome members new, past and present, with details on the clubs website and Facebook page.
