A green-fingered tribute, to a late husband, has blossomed into an £800 donation for Mountbatten Isle of Wight.
Following the death of her husband, Brian, Karen Stanton channelled her grief into a thriving summer project. Cultivating plants over the summer months in a garden wooden trough, loving crafted by Brian, Karen successfully raised £800 through plant sales.
Karen recently visited the hospice to present the funds, handing over the gift to Lauretta from the Mountbatten fund-raising team. The money will go directly towards supporting the vital end-of-life care and services provided by the hospice to the local community, and keeping Brian’s memory alive.
