The ‘Kangaroos & Koalas’ cricket squad, of 33 Aussies and three New Zealanders, all over 60, will be playing at Newclose on Wednesday (June 19). They will be taking on the IW Over-50s XIs in two 20-20 games.
Huw Griffiths, chairman of trustees at Newclose, said: “The late Brian Gardner, who built this amazing facility, would have been delighted to see it being used for an occasion such as this.”
The first match starts at 11am and the second at 2pm. All are welcome to watch the games with free entry to Newclose.
