The Folly Inn celebrates summer in style with a party

Victoria and Lee Murphy

The Folly Inn celebrated the new season with a community ‘Summer Party’ last night (Thursday), which featured live music, an outdoor cinema, traditional wooden garden games as well as complimentary popcorn and ice cream.

The East Cowes pub has appointed a new general manager, Victoria Murphy, whose husband, Lee, joins her as assistant manager.

Victoria said: “Our team at The Folly Inn worked tirelessly behind the scenes to get ready to start the summer with a bang, with a special celebration held exclusively for Island residents.

“Having recently joined the team, I am determined to create a welcoming environment for everyone, making The Folly Inn a hub for the local community. And what better way to do that than to celebrate the Island we all love!

“We couldn’t wait to welcome customers both old and new to our summer party and, with so much going on, from fun and games to the best entertainment our Island has to offer, it was a night to remember. We were very excited to see everyone here!”

Victoria started her hospitality career in Malta, and brings plenty of experience in the industry, having successfully managed numerous UK-based pubs.
