The Birdham Hotel, in Bembridge, is holding a wonderful Summer Ball on Friday, August 22, starting at 8pm and finishing at midnight.
Prosecco and Pimms will be flowing, as you are serenaded by Simon Wheeler and The Music For Care Quintet, featuring Alan Nicolls on keyboards, Isabelle Norwood on double bass, Pete Coe on drums, Charlie Ross on trumpet, and Louise Jackaman on flute and alto saxophone.
Listen to some of the great swing tunes made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Matt Monro and Michael Bouble. And have a dance perhaps to Andy Williams, Ricky Martin and Neil Diamond. This event will also highlight The Music For Care Foundation, a new charity for the Island.
