The Yarmouth Festival of Sea Songs at the end of May raised £4,500 for The Needles Coastwatch station.
A cheque was presented last week and station manager, Terry Dimmick, thanked organizer, Chris Waddington, and his committee, saying: “This effectively covers a major portion of our running costs for the year, added to which our presence at the festival greatly helps with the recruitment of volunteers to staff the station.”
Next year’s festival will again run over the May Bank Holiday weekend from Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 27.
